KB0053: Can I use the original table of contents in my imported document?

You can, if the entries are correctly linked to the book sections, but usually it's best to delete the original one and let Jutoh create the table of contents (TOC), either a simple one from the section titles, or a more sophisticated one as described here in the Jutoh manual.

Note that your table of content should not contain any page numbers. These are not relevant in a reflowable ebook, since page numbers change according to many factors, such as the current text size and font.

If you use an existing imported TOC page, or create your own, be sure to edit the document properties (right-click on the document in the outline and click Properties) and change the guide type to toc. This tells the ereader where to find the TOC.
