KB0390: Why do image links not seem to work on Kindle?

If you have linked from an image to another location in your book or to a web site, you may find that tapping on the link on a Kindle Paperwhite (for example) does not follow the link, although the link does work in Kindle Previewer and Kindle for PC/Mac.

The issue is that Amazon has chosen not to make a simple tap follow the link, perhaps in case of accidental taps while turning pages. Instead, you need to long-tap (tap and hold for a few moments) and then tap on the 'hand' icon that appears. This will then follow the link and show the internal web browser or another part of the book.

Since this might be confusing for users, it's best to also include a text link, or even instructions for following image links on Kindle devices.
