KB0431: Why do URLs show in my OpenDocument (ODT) file?

By default, URLs (hyperlinks) are shown in full when writing to OpenDocument files, if the URL is not already displayed in the text. This is so that you can view web links in printed documents.

You may not want this behaviour, especially if you are creating a PDF that will be viewed on a screen with clickable links, so you can edit your OpenDocument configuration, find Visible URLs, and set its value to None.

In addition, you can remove all hyperlinks by clearing the configuration option Generate URLs in your OpenDocument configuration.
