KB0100: How do I avoid having footnotes as well as endnotes in an OpenDocument file?

When exporting to OpenDocument (ODT), Jutoh doesn't have fine control over how footnotes are presented (for example, whether they are shown as footnotes or endnotes). So if you specify endnotes in Jutoh, you may end up with both footnotes (generated by the word processor) and endnotes (generated by Jutoh).

To avoid this, clear the Special footnote formatting property in your OpenDocument configuration. This will cause Jutoh to output endnotes simply as bookmarks and links, instead of footnote fields.

Alternatively, you can delete the endnotes page and adjust settings in your word processor to show endnotes. For OpenOffice, the settings are described here (external link).
