KB0223: Why does Kindlegen complain about PostScript in my embedded OTF fonts?

If you are using embedded fonts, you may see this warning:

WARNING (Kindlegen): W14029: CFF/Type1 (Postscript) embedded font included in your source may not render clearly on all Kindle readers. Please refer to Kindle Publishing Guidelines on the recommended usage of embedded fonts.

OTF fonts can contain TTF or PostScript font information, and Kindle doesn't like PostScript fonts. Use TTF fonts, or OTF with TrueType information. You can use the free software FontForge to convert between font formats if necessary.
