If there is extra space after paragraphs in your ebook, either there are blank paragraph which you can delete, or you need to edit the style and set the after-paragraph spacing to zero.

You can edit a style by going to the Styles tab of the Formatting Palette, right-clicking (or control-clicking on Mac) over the style and clicking on Edit. Then click on the Indents & Spacing tab and change the value of After a paragraph to zero.

If you have used direct formatting rather than a named style, you can apply a named style to all such paragraphs (double-click on a style in the Styles tab) or you can edit the paragraph's formatting by right/control-clicking over the paragraph, and clicking Paragraph to change the spacing. However, it's much better to apply a style such as "Body Text" to all relevant paragraphs, so you can easily change the formatting later without formatting each and every paragraph.
