KB0259: Why did Jutoh remove my page breaks when importing?

When Jutoh imports a document, such a Word or OpenDocument (ODT) file, it tries to break up the file into sections (chapters). By default, Jutoh will then remove the page breaks. This is because sections in an ebook imply page breaks already. If you have extra page breaks, the reader may see blank pages.

However, if you want to retain page breaks, you can use File | New Project or File | Import | Reimport Project to import or reimport the document, and when you get to the Import Options page, clear Remove any page breaks.

You can both insert and remove page breaks individually using Format | Insert | Page Break; or you can reapply a style to the paragraphs containing page breaks, or you can use Edit | Find and Replace to replace the paragraph styles.
