While the Kobo Aura does handle fixed layout, it doesn't display them well in landscape orientation. A landscape layout where there is only one HTML page per spread will not take up the full display width when the display is rotated on the Aura.
So it's best to ensure that either the whole book is landscape, or have Jutoh split double-page spreads into two HTML pages by setting Pages per spread to two if the book is implemented as one page per spread. Then the Aura will at least display each half-spread page in portrait in the largest size allowed by the aspect ratio of the page. Two HTML pages per spread is also a requirement for Apple Books.
