If you have changed the text size of a paragraph style, for example in the Formatting Palette, but you are not seeing a change in the text size of a paragraph that uses this style, it's probably because the paragraph contains direct character formatting.

You can check whether there is character formatting by clicking on the paragraph and observing the bottom of the Styles tab of the Formatting Palette. It'll tell you what character formatting is applied, if any.

If the character formatting includes a text size, it will override the text size in the paragraph style, so you need to remove the character formatting. Use the menu command Format | Clear Direct Formatting (Shift+Ctrl+R) to do this.

If you make a habit of mostly setting font and other attributes in the paragraph style, and not using direct formatting, then you shouldn't run into this problem, and if you want to change the appearance throughout, you may only have to edit the paragraph style.
