The documents under the special Scraps folder in your project are not exported to your book. However, you can export them to OpenDocument if there is an OpenDocument configuration in your project, by selecting a document under Scraps and using File | Export | OpenDocument. You will be prompted for a file name and also the scraps to export.
Similarly, if a document under Scraps is selected, then File | Print will show the scraps in a web browser for printing.
