KB0210: Why are some chapters or content missing in the finished book?

If you find that documents or portions of text that are present in the project are mysteriously absent from the finished ebook when previewed in Apple Books, Adobe Digital Editions, Kindle Previewer or other software, it may be a result of Jutoh's conditional content feature.

This feature allows you to specify that content should only appear in the finished book if certain criteria are met. To include or exclude whole documents, you can specify 'tags' (words you make up) in the configuration option Include sections matching tags. Then for each individual document, you can edit the properties and specify the same tag(s) to include the document, or omit them to exclude the document.

If you're not aware that you're using this feature, maybe you inherited the configurations from someone else or imported them from a different project. Check the configuration options Include sections matching tags, Exclude sections matching tags, and the other options listed under the Conditional Sections heading, clearing the values if necessary. Do this for all relevant configurations, and recompile.

If you are trying to use this feature, then check that your document properties contain tags that match tags in your configuration options.
