KB0423: When I launch my ODT file in LibreOffice, why do I get the message 'Missing hyphenation info'?

Sometimes when you compile and launch an OpenDocument ODT file in LibreOffice, you see a message similar to the following:

Missing hyphenation info. Please install the hyphenation package for locale "en"

It can help to change the language in your metadata to en-GB or en-US instead of just en. You can also use the LibreOffice command Tools | Options to check that a suitable hyphenation package is installed.
