KB0256: Why do I get a message at the top of my ebook pages about upgrading to Jutoh Plus?

You might be seeing this line at the top of each section of your compiled book:

PLEASE UPGRADE TO JUTOH PLUS TO REMOVE THIS LINE FOR HTB AND CHM FORMATS

If you don't need HTB or CHM formats, then you might have accidentally enabled them in your configuration.

To fix this, click Generate HTB and Generate CHM to edit these options in the current configuration, and disable them.

Or, to see these options manually, edit your configuration(s) by clicking Edit next to the current configuration in the Jutoh control panel (bottom left of the Jutoh window). Scroll down until you can see all the "Generate..." options (or search for CHM or HTB in the search field at the bottom), and clear the options.

Then, press OK to confirm your changes and click on Compile to generate the book again. Click on Launch to view the book.

If the line is still showing, then one or more of these is the case:

  1. You didn't disable both configuration options.

  2. You forgot to compile the book again.

  3. You forgot to launch the book again and are simply viewing the old file in your ebook viewer application.

  4. You launched the book again, but the ebook viewer is still showing the old file. Try deleting the book from the viewer application's library, and launching again.
